Manufacturing Operations

We own two fully equipped factories in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.

Through continuous high levels of capital investment and skills training, we remain one of the UK’s premier bespoke joinery manufacturers.

With a dedicated skilled workforce performing at the highest levels and utilising modern manufacturing technology, we outperform project expectations at all times. The joinery factory has been freehold since 1992 and currently comprises of 24,000 ft2 manufacturing space.

Recent plant investment includes a new 5 Axis CNC with detachable matrix bed for more flexibility, a 4 Axis CNC and 2 computerised beam saws all with a direct link to our production office. In-house veneering and pressing areas, 4 spray booths and 25 workbenches allows us a capacity of 1,600 man-hours per week production.

With the professional support of an integrated production and design office, the manufacturing team work to a continuous flow, using process tools such as bottleneck analysis, continuous improvement, pull systems and root cause problem resolution etc. Each part of the manufacturing flow process is supported by key performance indicators (KPI’s) to achieve goals that are specific, measurable, attainable and time relevant.

In 2014, we purchased the manufacturing premises adjacent to our joinery factory to create our Rudwall facility. This allows us to design and assemble modular washroom components complete with fully integrated mechanical, electrical and plumbing requirements direct for delivery and installation into our commercial washroom projects. This comprises 40,000 ft2 of assembly space with a capacity of 1,200 man-hours per week production. This is ably supported by our joinery factory for any joinery components for incorporation.

In 2016, we purchased an additional warehouse facility of 18,500 ft2 which allows us to improve our Just-in-Time logistical commitment when delivering to central London via our fleet of FORS Silver accredited vehicles.

Our overall Flitwick manufacturing operations therefore exceed 82,500 ft2
